An integral part of our mission at INHALE VENICE is to provide yoga, meditation, art and counseling services to under-served and at risk communities. Here are some of our ongoing partners and projects we support.

NOVEMBER free yoga for vets!

We are proud to partner with photographer Robert Sturman and yoga studios around the country to offer FREE yoga to Veterans and Active Military for the entire month of November. Simply sign in with your name and "Vet's Project" at the door at our home base studio at 6 Rose Avenue, Venice 90291

free meditation to formerly homeless 62+

Beginning in Fall 2016 we will be partnering up with PATH Ventures and Bonnie Brae Village to provide free meditation classes to formerly homeless ederly residents. Bonnie Brae Villas is a 92 unit mixed population community in Los Angeles that combines subsidized and affordable units for individuals 62+ who have experienced homelessness and/or have qualifying disabilities.

 

 

 

12 step yoga

Beginning Fall 2016 we are partnering up with Y12SR to help subsidize regular 12step yoga classes at our home studio at 6 Rose Ave, Venice CA 90291. Trained by Y12SR, our 12step teachers integrate the wisdom of yoga as well as the practical tools of 12-step program. Y12SR's mission is to empower the lives of individuals and families affected by substance and behavioral addictions with yoga informed by relapse prevention practices that enhance physical, mental and spiritual well-being.

OFF THE MAT, INTO THE WORLD Founded by Hala Khouri, Seane Corn and Suzanne Sterling, Off the Mat Into the World® (OTM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging yoga and activism. Founded in 2007, OTM uses the tools of yoga, meditation, and self-inquiry to inspire leaders to create conscious, sustainable change. We define activism as an act of standing for solidarity, equality, justice, and freedom for all. OTM helps yogis utilize the tools of yoga, meditation, and self-inquiry to create conscious, sustainable change in themselves, their communities, and the world through leadership trainings, online courses, service and action projects, and much more. How will you take your yoga off the mat and into the world? INHALE VENICE is partnering with OTM to provide a limited number of scholarships for a select group of yoga teachers to receiveOTM's leadership trainings in order to further growpowerful and necessary skills to effectively and safely work with under-served populations.

At A Place Called Home, caring staff, supporters and volunteers come together to provide South Central children and teens 8 years old – 21 years old with love, safety, enrichment, training, and opportunities through educational programs, counseling, and mentorship. After-school, weekend, and all-day summer programs and services include tutoring and homework support, as well as a full spectrum of instruction in the arts, athletics, dance and music. Spearheaded by yoga teacher Samantha Mehra, INHALE VENICE is proud to partner with APCH to subsidize 10 week series of yoga classes free to the youth they serve. Next series begins Winter 2017.

Green Tree Yoga & Meditation is a social justice movement bringing access to healing modalities to South LA. INHALE VENICE is partnering with Tracee Stanley to support Green Tree Yoga's mission to offer yoga and meditation to the South Los Angeles community, regardless of income, allowing that which connects us to flourish and to dissolve that which separates us. Upcoming programs offered 100% by donation with Tracee Stanely at Green Tree to be announced soon.

MADE BY LIBERTY & JUSTICE. With your purchase, UNIFORM donates a school uniform to a child who otherwise could not attend school. All UNIFORM apparel is ethically manufactured in Africa by a network of factories committed to worker SAFETY and EMPOWERMENT. The Liberty & Justice (L&J) factory was founded in 2010 and was an early pioneer in ethical manufacturing in Africa earning the continent’s first Fair Trade Certification by Fair Trade USA. Inspired by the Liberian Women’s Peace Movement, the L&J factory was founded in direct response to requests from the local community - provide us jobs so that we can provide for ourselves. As an early pioneer in ethical fashion in Africa, the factory was established with the employees in mind, giving them a 49% ownership stake. After the ebola outbreak in 2014, the L&J (Liberia) factory became the launchpad for UNIFORM, the brand.
